The famous [name] certainly needs no introduction Ranelagh Garden<\/strong><\/a>, you should know, however, that it owes its name to an Irish lord who created a ball whose fame spread so far beyond the country\u2019s borders that a Frenchman, Morissan, the gatekeeper of Passy<\/a>, came up with the idea of bringing it to Paris at the end of the 18th century. But since then, the sound of the orchestras has fallen silent, giving way to a certain Baron Haussmann, who transformed the site into a splendid garden filled with trees, some of which are two hundred years old.
