But if this great 17th-century poetth<\/sup> Although he was best known for his famous \u201cfables,\u201d he was also prolific in writing stories, poems, plays, and opera librettos, all of which allowed him to delve deeply into his reflections on human actions and behavior.<\/p>\n As for this street, it begins near the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique and runs through part of the 16thth<\/sup>\u00a0district, ending where Mozart Avenue begins.<\/p>\n There, you can discover little architectural gems, such as Castel B\u00e9ranger\u2014though you\u2019ll only be able to see its gate. As a bit of trivia, the construction of this Art Nouveau apartment building was entirely overseen by Hector Guimard (you know, the Paris metro station entrances?).<\/p>\n On this wide, bright street, Haussmann-style facades stand side by side with more modern architectural styles.<\/p>\n Amandine Aurore Lucile Dupin de Francueil, Baroness Dudevant, was the most prolific writer, with 70 novels and 50 miscellaneous works including short stories, fairy tales, plays, and political essays. For let us not forget that this ardent defender of women fought fiercely against the prejudices of the society in which she lived\u2014a society she deemed conservative\u2014even to the point of dressing as a man and adopting a male pseudonym.<\/p>\n In our lovely neighborhood in the 16thth<\/sup>\u00a0In this district, it lends its name to a small, intimate, and charming street. Running perpendicular to Rue Jean de la Fontaine and starting at Rue R\u00e9musat, it runs alongside the Individual Tax Office (not so charming\u2026) and also ends where Avenue Mozart begins, just a stone\u2019s throw from our agency.<\/p>\n A happy coincidence?<\/p>\n 19th-century poet, novelist, and art criticth<\/sup> In the 19th century, he was an active member of the Parnasse literary school. He is much better known for his famous *Captain Fracasse*. Though he had dreamed of becoming a sailor, he developed a passion for the theater and a knack for bringing epic adventures to life.<\/p>\n Located as a continuation of Avenue Chardon-Lagache, Avenue Th\u00e9ophile Gautier is incredibly green! It stretches from the Church of Auteuil to Rue Gros, featuring the lovely Henri Collet Square and its charming little market. And if time allows, a quick gourmet stop at the Bistrot 31 restaurant is a must.<\/p>\n This tiny street is located between the street named after a great poet, Leconte de Lisle\u2014a leading figure of the Parnassian literary movement\u2014and Avenue Boudon.<\/p>\n It owes its name to Fran\u00e7ois-Auguste Mignet, an 18th-century writer, historian, and journalistth<\/sup> century, known as the author of *A History of the French Revolution*. A prolific writer for the press of the time, he was one of the architects of the Three Glorious Days and was among the signatories of \u201cThe Protest Against the Press Law\u201d in 1830.<\/p>\n A German, Heinrich Heine was a very close friend of our dear (and former) Fran\u00e7ois-Auguste Mignet, whose work he admired.<\/p>\n He is considered the \u201clast poet of Romanticism.\u201d Many of his works, which were characterized by an elegant lightness (rare in German literature at the time), were translated and set to music. This maverick\u2014a politically engaged journalist, critic, and satirist\u2014was often both loved and feared.<\/p>\n His street, which runs perpendicular to the Jasmin Street<\/a>, has its source Rue du Docteur Blanche<\/a> ending at the intersection where Mozart Avenue begins\u2026 there it is again!<\/p>\n It is home to numerous mansions and apartment buildings whose hidden gardens reveal themselves\u2026 only to those in the know.<\/p>\n The 16th Districtth<\/sup> The district is gradually revealing its stories and secrets.
