It was indeed at number 46 on this boulevard that the singer purchased a 75-square-meter apartment with a terrace, where he lived until his accidental death on March 11, 1978. His offices were nearby, at 122 on the same boulevard, where he ran his magazines *Flèche* and *Podium*.
On March 11, 2000, in memory of this man whom no one has forgotten, and to ensure that his memory lives on in these places he explored so often, Place Claude François was dedicated.
It is located on Boulevard Exelmans, between numbers 23 and 31, between Avenue de Versailles and Rue Chardon-Lagache.
