Radio House
Located at 116 Avenue du Président-Kennedy, the Maison de la Radio—nicknamed the “round house”—has become an iconic landmark in Paris’s 16th arrondissement.

Since March 26, 2018, the Radio House is listed as a historic monument by the Île-de-France Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs.
This monument, with its unique design, has a history spanning more than 50 years.
Featuring a glass-and-aluminum design, this 68-meter-tall building, offering a 360° view of all of Paris from the 22nd floor, was designed by architect Henry Bernard and built in the Googie style between 1952 and 1963. It was inaugurated on December 13, 1963, by General De Gaulle, then President of the Republic.
The Googie style is a futuristic architectural style from the mid-20th century, characterized by the distinctive design of a café created by architect John Lautner and named “Googie’s,” which first appeared in Los Angeles, United States, in 1949; It embodies the American dream and was inspired by the design of the Atomic Age and the space race.
